B i o g r a p h y

Born in 1989, Poland, Fabio Salmeri started playing the violin when he was 7 years old. He graduated from the ”Stanislaw Moniuszko” School of Music in Bielsko-Biala, where he studied with Józef Iwanowicz. He studied under the academic supervision of Robert Kabara at the Academy of Music in Cracow, graduating with honors in 2013 and completing the Doctorate Programme in 2018.

 

He has honed his skills under the guidance of Boris Belkin, Igor Gruppman, Grigory Zhislin and Alena Baeva. He is the finalist of the International Beethoven Chamber Music Competition. He won second prize at the International Competition “Luigi Zanuccoli 2013” in Sogliano al Rubicone and awards such as “Ruggero Leoncavallo 2012″ or “Giovanni Zetti 2009″, which he received for the solo concerts in Montecatini Terme, Italy. He constantly plays in Poland and abroad with eminent pianists, including Mark Mizera, Giuseppe Tavanti and Andrea Ambrosini. In April 2011, he performed for Radio Krakow S-5 studio during the event “Musical journeys”.

 

In addition to his solo repertoire, Fabio Salmeri specializes also in chamber and orchestral music. He regularly collaborates with leading orchestras, including Sinfonietta Cracovia, Beethoven Academy Orchestra and Corda Cracovia, which perform under the guidance of famous conductors, among which were: Krzysztof Penderecki, Valery Gergiev, Lorin Maazel, Antoni Wit, Jerzy Maksymiuk, Tadeusz Strugała, Gabriel Chmura and Marek Moś.
